Finally.
I've now successfully slipped away from the restrictive, overtaxed, over-legislated, hyper-Liberal, "sanctuary state" clutches of Commiefornia, and have comfortably moved into a great new home in the normal, friendly, Conservative, beautiful state of Ohio- the land I was born and raised in.
It feels great.
Despite recently having dealt with the threat of death by fire, losing most of my worldly possessions and cherished family heirlooms, my tools, and my two prized, beloved, classic Harley Davidsons in the most horrific fire in the history of California, I honestly feel like I'm now in the best place and time of my whole life- with the one exception of my parents not being alive and here to witness it.
A new home.
A new setting.
A new life, and a new set of adventures has started.
A brand new beginning, having risen (literally) from the flames and ashes of the past.
I have more to be thankful for than I could ever relate, and ten million words couldn't convey how thankful I am. Or how much joy fills my soul. Or the deep serenity that permeates me.
I may be 'getting on in years' now, but I don't feel old.
I may have lost a lot of possessions, but I feel like my soul is wealthier than I could ever deserve.
I just feel very, very blessed.
How could a man who has lost the majority of his worldly possessions feel this magnificent?
I really can't explain it. I just feel it.
Like the biblical reference to the man who gained the whole world, yet lost his soul- the exact opposite has happened to me.
I never realized that this much happiness and serenity would be possible to acquire in just one lifetime, and I'm pretty sure that I'll have many years left to enjoy all this.
Again, I feel very, very blessed.
